Ryan Watson Consulting has been sponsoring Smart Cities projects for final year students at Melbourne’s Swinburne and Monash Universities. Drs Peter Ryan and Richard Watson became interested in the Internet of Things about six years ago, but realised that more hands were needed to produce useful systems using big data analytics techniques including machine learning. 

Drs Ryan and Watson have sponsored successful projects over the past few years that have also resulted in external publications. They have worked with student teams and interns on projects that include themes of real time data analysis, sentiment analysis of social surveys, road accidents, and smart parking.
